All members and non-members are welcome to participate in the monthly book discussions at 11:30 AM following the Service. Light lunch food and snacks will be available. All books selected can be purchased locally, ordered online, or obtained from the FDL Public Library.

Open Circle is the first public entity to request a class in these techniques from a trained presenter - once again we are leading the pack! Let's make sure the response is good.
Stop the Bleed is a modified first-aid class focused on what to do if you are present at a shooting and another bystander is shot. Trained presenters show what techniques to use before emergency services arrive.

On the third Sunday of every month, there will be a "Membership Outreach Meeting". The group will be comprised of individuals who support the functions of the Hospitality, Membership and Caring Circles committees. Attendance at the meetings is open to anyone interested in those functions. The meetings will be held at 8:30 AM.
This group will meet on the second Saturday of each month, at OCUUF, until further notice. Goal of the committee is to educate the congregation and the community about environmental issues and projects to support local concerns.
If you find yourself struggling to explain your connection with UU to others, then this series is for you (and anyone else who wishes to attend). The series will be led by Sylvia Reed and will focus heavily on sharing and reflecting on your beliefs and spiritual needs. It is helpful, but not required, to attend all 4 sessions. Sessions will be held 4 consecutive Thursdays, 7-8:30 PM: March 24, March 31, April 7 & April 14th. RSVP to Open Circle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
