On the first Sunday of every month, there will be a "Membership Outreach Meeting". The group will be comprised of individuals who support the functions of the Hospitality, Membership and Caring Circles committees. Attendance at the meetings is open to anyone interested in those functions. The meetings will be held at 8:30 AM.
This group will meet on the second Saturday of each month, at OCUUF, until further notice. Goal of the committee is to educate the congregation and the community about environmental issues and projects to support local concerns. The EJN Citizens Climate Lobby meeting will follow from 11 AM - 1 PM.
4/22: The Adopt-a-Highway group will begin cleaning our stretch of highway on April 22, 2017. We meet at our Highway Sign just west of County Road I (west of Fond du Lac) at 8:30 AM. Mike Hayes will have garbage bags and green safety vests for those who wish to help. We clean up Highway 23 from County Road I, west 2 miles, to County Road Y. The average clean up time is about 1 hour; perhaps a little longer on this particular first pick-up of the year.
If the weather is inclement Mike Hayes will email you no later than 7:30 AM. We reschedule for the following week, same time, same place. Mike can only notify those who belong to the clean up group. If you wish to be on the group please let Mike know that via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. We clean up 3 times per season. This year's remaining dates are July 22, and Oct. 21. If you join our group by being on Mike's email list you are not committed to doing anything. You merely be there if you can make it there. Mike hopes to see you some time and... Mother Earth will thank you!
