No doubt you've heard that this year's election cycle may re-define what we mean by democracy, or it may end democracy in America altogether. We are called by our Fifth Principle to uphold democratic process in our organizational decision making - while at the same time making room for an individual's right of conscience. What happens when individual conscience conflicts directly with democratic process? And what does democratic process look like in a world conceived as just and fair for all persons? And how does all that impact the problems that are imperative to solve if we are to survive as the civilization we know today? Together let's explore some possibilities for moving forward with our American experiment in a manner that allows us to solve the problems of our world.
