OCUUF's Stone Soup Saturday

We will next provide food on Saturday, August 22nd (this is the 4th Saturday which we do every month). According to our western understanding, food is the physical source of nourishment for our physical body. It supplies us with vitamins and minerals that support our physiological functioning in the world, so that we can live a long, happy and healthy life. According to the Yoga Tradition, food is consciousness which is offered to Agni, the fire of digestion, in our body which supplies us with and nourishes us with the divine Life Force, enabling us to fulfill our spiritual purpose in this Universe. This presentation will join those two realities--the physical and the spiritual--and provide an understanding of the more subtle dimensions of food and life. Bio: Michael Ketterhagen is the founder and spiritual director of the Fond du Lac Center for Spirituality and Healing. He holds a Practical Theology doctorate in Spirituality and Healing, is a student of yoga, meditation and tantra as taught through the Himalayan Tradition, and a Healing Touch practitioner.
