Date: June 11, 2023
Meeting ID: 989 5081 6142
Passcode: 542798
Summer's slower pace offers opportunities to experience things we often can't find time for during the rest of the year. Unitarian Universalists have always been known to pursue personal summertime spiritual delights because historically many of our congregations took the summer off. Even though we now meet regularly over the summer, please take the time for more nature walks, gardening, visitng new places, helping to build a better world in your community, or simply engaging in new stories via print, electronic media, theater, or directly (e.g. quality time with friends and family). Be ready to tell us all about how your spirit was delighted when we see you again.
WOW! Women of Wisdom will be meeting every 2nd & 4th Mondays at Open Circle 10 AM to Noon. Coffee/tea will be provided. (Donations of the same are appreciated). All women are invited to attend. Topic: Our focus of discussion will be the Soul Matters topic of the Month. If you have any questions please contact Marge Whitinger at 262-496-7354.

Dr. Howard Ebert: Gathering Fragments of Hope... 10 AM - 11 AM
Date: June 18, 2023
Meeting ID: 948 0429 3958
Passcode: 985320
"Gathering Fragments of Hope: Meaning, Purpose, and God" by Dr. Howard Ebert
Dr. Ebert finds delight in the role that intellectual curiosity and education plays in lifelong learning. As a St. Norbert student taking his first class in Philosophy in the 1970s, Howard discovered how the college classroom was a special haven, a special place with the opportunity to let imagination run, to talk freely, to think out loud, and test ideas. As a scholar and teacher, Dr. Ebert strives to have students understand the nuances of diverse perspectives. In his discipline of religious studies, that means welcoming discussion of fundamentalism, evangelicalism, main-line religious perspectives or atheism. As for his own faith, at one time Howard found God more in the answers, but now he finds God in the questions—in the probing and challenging. Join us this Sunday to hear how one person deepened his relationship with God by being curious and asking questions. Dr. Ebert teaches undergraduate and graduate studies in Theology and Religious Studies and Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin.
Discussion Question: What are the moments, places, or people that have helped you find meaning, purpose and delight in living?
Howard Ebert is a Professor of Theology and Religious Studies and Director of Master of Arts in Liberal Studies and Master of Theological Studies at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. His course offerings include: Contemporary Catholicism, Christianity and Cultural Diversity, Toward a Global Society: Buddhist and Christian Paradigms, and Introduction to Liberal Studies. As a scholar and teacher, Dr. Ebert strives to have students understand the nuances of diverse perspectives. In his discipline of religious studies, that means welcoming discussion of fundamentalism, evangelicalism, main-line religious perspectives or atheism.
